Literacy Evaluation Services:
At RISE Institute for Literacy, we provide educational evaluations to help families better understand learning strengths and areas of need in reading, writing, and math. Our assessments are designed to support instructional planning and informed decision-making.
Free Initial Consultation
All services begin with a free consultation. During this meeting, we:
• Review your concerns • Discuss your child’s learning history • Conduct a phonics screener • Determine whether screening or a comprehensive evaluation is appropriate • Outline recommended next steps
Our goal is to ensure families receive the right level of support.
Dyslexia Screening – $50
A brief, dyslexia specific screening to identify risk factors and characteristics commonly associated with dyslexia. Includes:
• Targeted literacy screening measures • Immediate feedback • Recommendation regarding the need for further evaluation
This is often a helpful first step when reading concerns arise.
Dyslexia Evaluation – $350
A focused evaluation using the Tests of Dyslexia (TOD), a 9-subtest battery assessing phonological processing, rapid naming, decoding, and related literacy skills.
Families receive:
• Administration of the full TOD battery • A streamlined written score report • Educational interpretation of results • Individual consultation to review findings and instructional recommendations
This evaluation provides detailed information about dyslexia-related learning patterns and helps guide targeted intervention.
Specific Learning Disability (SLD) Evaluation (alliance with local school districts, special education, eligibility, guide guideline)
For families seeking a broader understanding of learning differences, we offer comprehensive cognitive and academic assessment.
Cognitive Assessment (WISC-5) – $350 Academic Achievement (KTEA-3): • Reading – $150 • Writing – $150 • Math – $150
Full evaluation (Cognitive + Reading, Writing, and Math): $800
This evaluation includes: • Standardized assessment administration • Written report with scores and interpretation • Educational recommendations • Consultation to review results
Results may inform instructional planning and support conversations with schools.
